Karin Cervenka is a counsellor and cultural manager, director of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Bucharest. Lives and works in Bucharest.

28 January -- Peter Osborne - THE FICTION OF THE CONTEMPORARY. SPECULATIVE COLLECTIVITY AND THE GLOBAL TRANSNATIONAL
A lecture which combines theoretical reflection on the concept of the contemporary with a discussion of some work by The Atlas Group, 1995–2005.
Peter Osborne is a critical theorist who has written widely on aesthetics, art theory and philosophy of contemporary art. He is Professor of Modern European Philosophy and Director of the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy, Middlesex University, London and an editor of the journal Radical Philosophy.

25 February -- Martin Krenn - artist talk - IN BETWEEN THE MOVEMENTS
Martin Krenn is an Austrian artist who examines and discusses in his work sociopolitical topics.
The event is in the frame of his residency in Bucharest supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum.

11 March -- Ioana Nemes - artist talk - TRANSLATING TIME: LOSSES AND GAINS
A presentation of the context and reasons that have led to the appearance and development of the Monthly Evaluations project (work in progress, started in 2004). Monthly Evaluations is an artistic pseudo-scientific experiment which aims to use colors to visualize length in time of a calendar month.
Ioana Nemes (b.1979) is one of the most appreciated and exhibited romanian artists of recent years. Among the biennials that she has participated in are the Istanbul Biennial (2009), U-Turn Copenhagen (2008), Prague Biennial (2007) and Bucharest Biennial (2006). Recently she has presented Relics for the Afterfuture (Brown) - a series of sculptures which analyze the traditional romanian rituals - at Jiri Svestka Berlin. Lives and works in Bucharest.

November 11 -- Markus Miessen - THE NIGHTMARE OF PARTICIPATION
Markus Miessen (*1978) is an architect, spatial consultant and writer migrating between Berlin, London, and the Middle East. Miessen has taught, lectured, curated and organised conferences in many institutions worldwide.
